Best SaaS UI/UX Design Agencies (2026)

A person using a digital drawing tablet and laptop with color swatches and markers

The short answer

Method, Isadora Agency and Lazarev.agency head this list. Method pairs experience design with engineering, so a SaaS client can keep design and build with one team. Isadora designs SaaS dashboards, portals and the sites that sell them, and publishes results such as a 59% rise in on-site engagement for an installment-financing platform. Lazarev.agency focuses on product design for AI-native B2B platforms.

SaaS UX work usually covers two things at once: the application customers use after they sign in, and the marketing site that turns visitors into trials and demo requests. Some agencies here design both. Others concentrate on the product interface, the brand around it or the engineering underneath. Each of the eight below shows named work for a software company on its own website.

The ranking weighs product depth (dashboards, portals, onboarding and apps), evidence that research shaped design decisions, design systems a product team can keep using, and how a software company would actually engage each team.

Methodology

Our evidence came from the agencies' own websites: their case studies, service pages and client lists. To make the cut, an agency had to show named work for a software or SaaS company there; a logo wall didn't count. We then compared product depth, meaning logged-in experiences such as dashboards, portals, onboarding and apps rather than marketing pages alone. We looked for research practice, so case studies where interviews, testing or analytics changed a decision. We checked for design systems or UI libraries a client team can maintain after launch. And we considered fit: how each team is staffed and how a software company would engage it. Where an agency publishes results, we read them against the case study. Where a fact such as team size or a minimum budget isn't published, we left that detail out.

Product consultancy pairing experience design with engineering teams

Method is a digital product consultancy founded in 1999. GlobalLogic acquired it in 2011, so it now sits within the Hitachi family while still trading under its own name. Its listed services run from AI strategy and digital strategy through experience design, engineering and organizational enablement, which lets a SaaS client keep design and build with one team. The software-vendor example on its site is Cegid Flow, an iOS and Android app that puts payments, invoices and accounting in one place for small-business owners. Other product work covers an online auctions platform for Hemmings and Jenius Bank, the US digital bank from SMBC, where Method worked from incubation through build. The Hemmings project began with stakeholder interviews and tested the platform with real users.

SaaS UI/UX design, UX research and design systems for dashboards, portals and apps

Isadora Agency designs SaaS portals, dashboards and the marketing sites that sell them, with research running through each phase. For Sunbit, an installment-financing platform whose primary audience is the B2B dealers that offer its financing, Isadora designed the customer portal dashboard, the mobile app UI and a lead-generating marketing site from scratch, with separate teams on the portal and the app working in parallel. User flows and customer journeys shaped what the dashboard shows. Isadora's SaaS page credits that work with a 77% increase in organic traffic and a 59% increase in on-site engagement. For APS Payroll, a payroll and HR platform, Isadora rebuilt conversion into demo, signup and gated-resource paths connected to Salesforce; the case study reports a 72% increase in conversions and a 28% rise in demo requests. Its UX research page lists user interviews, analytics audits, card sorting, journey mapping and moderated usability tests at wireframe and high-fidelity stages.

The product behind the login is the real portfolio

A software company buys UX work for two surfaces: the marketing site that converts visitors, and the application customers use once they sign in. Plenty of portfolios show only the first. Screens from a dashboard, onboarding flow or settings area, with the people who used them named, show far more. A marketing site alone says little about how a team handles permissions, empty states, billing or a workflow with eight steps, and an agency that can walk through a logged-in product can usually explain the tradeoffs it made there.

Research earns its fee when it changes a decision

Research is easy to list as a service. The useful test is when it happens. A strong case study shows one decision that interviews or a usability test changed, and at what stage: wireframe, high-fidelity or after launch. It also shows what the client's team kept afterward, such as journey maps, a revised information architecture or session recordings. Testing that only starts once screens are finished pushes the costly changes to the end of the project, when engineers are already building.

What a SaaS UX engagement includes and costs

A SaaS UX engagement normally moves from research (user interviews, an analytics review, competitive benchmarking) to information architecture and user flows, then wireframes tested with real users, then visual design and a component library engineers can build from. Bigger scopes add the marketing site, a mobile app or a design system shared across several products. Pricing is public for just one firm here: Isadora Agency's website and product design bands start at $95K to $165K and run to $401K and above. The other seven quote per project. When you compare quotes, check whether research and usability testing are priced in or listed as optional, and whether the agency stays on through developer handoff.

Frequently asked questions

How much do agencies charge for SaaS UX design?

Most UX agencies don’t publish rates. Larger SaaS projects typically start around $95,000 to $165,000, and big multi-product scopes go past $400,000. Redesigning one onboarding flow is a far smaller job than a portal, a mobile app and a marketing site designed together, and quotes that price research, design and developer support as separate lines are the easiest to compare.

How long does a SaaS UX redesign take?

It depends on how much of the product is in scope and how much research comes first. A phase plan with a date on discovery, flows and wireframes, testing, visual design and developer handoff makes the schedule clear. Parallel workstreams shorten the calendar: on Sunbit, Isadora Agency put separate design teams on the customer portal and the mobile app at the same time. Isadora's SaaS page also states that 92% of its projects launch on time or early.

What should a SaaS UX agency's case study show?

Screens from inside the product, not only the marketing site: dashboards, onboarding, settings, billing. A useful case study names the client, says who the users were, shows how research changed the design and reports a result tied to that client. Method's Hemmings case, for example, starts from stakeholder interviews and describes testing the auctions platform with real users. The best test is a walkthrough of one case with the person who led it.

How do you check reviews of a SaaS UX design agency?

Client testimonials on the agency's own site that carry a full name and job title are the first check, followed by references from software clients with a similar product. The people quoted should have worked on the product itself as well as the marketing site. A reference call is the place to learn how the agency handled disagreement, who from its team stayed through launch, and what changed after the product shipped.

When should a SaaS team run usability testing?

Before the design is finished, while changes still cost little. Wireframes can go in front of real users as soon as a flow exists, and high-fidelity screens get a second round before handoff. MetaLab's case study for The Athletic describes usability testing during design, and Method's Hemmings case describes testing the platform with real users. After launch, analytics show where people drop out of onboarding or abandon a task, and that tells you what to test next.

Which UX design agencies have designed AI features in software products?

Several on this list. Lazarev.agency designed Accern's Rhea AI research tool and Elva, a voice-first AI video editor. MetaLab designed the original interface for a prompt-to-image AI service, and Hello Monday made generative AI apps for a developer API competition. The useful question for any of them is how they designed for wrong or uncertain AI answers, and how users correct them.
