Software engineering and experience design at public-company scale
EPAM opened in Princeton, New Jersey, in 1993 and is now a public software engineering and consulting company with more than 62,850 people. Its design and consulting practice, EPAM Continuum, led the company's work for LV= General Insurance in the UK. That work began with board-level workshops and a 13-week qualitative customer research program, then evolved the insurer's brand, design language and tone of voice, with a design system handed to LV='s own design team. EPAM went on to design and build the platform behind LV='s digital products, including a redesigned LV.com that gives customers a mobile-first, guided route through buying insurance. Other financial work covers ImageNPay, a startup whose virtual payment cards let users change the card image, and a direct-to-consumer sales model for the life and health insurer AmeriLife.
